Alia Bhatt to present at Earthshot Prize’s Mumbai debut
Alia Bhatt will present one of the five awards at The Earthshot Prize 2026 Awards Night in Mumbai, the first time the environmental honour comes to India.
The ceremony is set for November 17. Alia will share the stage with Rami Malek, Sachin Tendulkar, Simone Ashley and Sonam Kapoor. Karan Johar will host, and Shreya Ghoshal will perform live.
Around 5,000 guests are expected. In a first for the ceremony, Prime Video will stream it globally, reaching viewers in more than 240 countries and territories in over 40 languages.
Founded by Prince William in 2020, the prize honours people and organisations tackling the planet’s biggest environmental challenges. Five winners, one in each category, will each receive 1 million pounds, chosen from 15 finalists.
Alia called the prize ‘about hope… but hope that comes with ideas, action and people who are finding new ways forward.’ Mumbai’s night is shaping up to be a genuinely global affair.
