Mohit Sharma to be CSK’s new bowling coach

Mohit Sharma is set to become the new bowling coach of Chennai Super Kings, according to reports on October 1.
The appointment follows his last IPL match in 2025 and his retirement from all formats of cricket in December. Mohit brings years of top-level experience, including a long IPL career and international appearances for India.
Known for his clever variations and death-bowling skills, Mohit was part of India’s 2015 World Cup squad and played a key role for CSK during his playing days.
The franchise is expected to formally announce the coaching staff rejig ahead of the next season. CSK has traditionally valued continuity, often bringing former players into coaching roles.
Fans welcomed the news on social media, recalling Mohit’s contributions in yellow. His understanding of the Chepauk conditions is seen as an asset.
The bowling coach role will be crucial as CSK rebuilds its attack for the upcoming campaign.
