IRGC claims missile and drone strikes on US-linked bases in Gulf

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed it carried out missile and drone strikes on US-linked bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan as retaliation for renewed American airstrikes on Iranian sites, according to multiple regional reports.
The IRGC described the strikes as part of “Operation Lightning”, with phases 21 and 22 reportedly targeting military installations in the three countries. Gulf and US sources reported that most of the incoming projectiles were intercepted, according to the reports.
The claimed strikes come after what US officials described as fresh airstrikes on Iranian military sites. Tehran has framed its action as a response to what it calls American aggression, while Washington has not publicly confirmed casualties or damage.
Iranian official Mojtaba Khamenei was quoted warning that the United States would face an “unforgettable lesson”, according to the reports. The situation remains fluid, with both sides trading claims about the scale and effectiveness of the strikes.
All claims in this report are based on Iranian state-linked sources and regional media reports, and have not been independently verified.
