XPeng G9L SUV goes global with Paris Motor Show debut

Chinese electric vehicle maker XPeng will unveil the G9L SUV at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, marking the start of a global launch across 64 markets.
The G9L will be offered in both battery-electric and range-extended versions. The five-metre-long SUV rides on a 3,100mm wheelbase and will be built in Guangzhou, China, and Graz, Austria, for European customers.
The vehicle features XPeng’s VLA 2.0 driver assistance system and the company’s own Turing AI chip. XPeng said the G9L represents its most advanced vehicle architecture yet, combining long range with fast-charging capability.
The global rollout is part of XPeng’s aggressive expansion outside China. The company has been growing sales in Europe and Southeast Asia, where it is challenging Tesla and European automakers.
The Paris Motor Show debut will be followed by deliveries in key markets through 2027. Industry analysts say the G9L will be a key test of whether Chinese EV brands can win over mainstream buyers in Europe’s competitive premium SUV segment.
