India completed a clean sweep of all three compound archery team golds at the Asian Games on September 30, with the mixed team of Chikitha Taniparthi and Sahil Rajesh Jadhav beating South Korea in a dramatic shoot-off.

Tied 157-157 after regulation, both Indians found the 10-ring in the shoot-off while Korea's Choi Yonghee could manage only a nine, handing India gold.

The victory secured India a quota place for the mixed team event at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, where compound archery will make its Olympic debut.

The men's trio of Kushal Dalal, Sahil Jadhav and Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru then beat China in the final to complete the unprecedented sweep.

Earlier in the day, the women's team of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha and Prithika Pradeep had defended their title against China with a world-record-equalling 238.

India's compound archers have now won gold in every team event on offer, underlining the country's dominance in the discipline.

The sweep took India's gold count higher on Day 12 of the Games, with archery emerging as the standout sport of the campaign.
