NSRCEL, the startup hub at IIM Bangalore, and Maruti Suzuki India have launched the seventh cohort of their Incubation Programme for Mobility Startups. The six-month programme will support startups at the early-revenue to scale stage across mobility and allied sectors. It will focus on vehicle technology, clean tech, mobility infrastructure, digital transformation and green manufacturing. Selected startups will get incubation support from NSRCEL and paid pilot opportunities with Maruti Suzuki, along with mentoring from industry experts and ecosystem connections. Winners can also receive a Maruti Suzuki car, international immersion opportunities and prize money. The existing ecosystem includes companies like Sarvam AI, TRUEassist, Switch On, Volar Alta, Zen Mobility and MiniMines. Applications are open to startups building in these focus areas. Context: India’s startup ecosystem is the world’s third largest, with mobility and EVs among its fastest-growing sectors. The programme has mentored dozens of startups since launch, several of which now work with major automakers.
