Tim Ream Retires From USMNT After 15 Years
Tim Ream has announced his retirement from international soccer, closing a 15-year career with the United States men’s national team. The veteran defender, 39, earned his final cap this week and will continue playing club football with Charlotte FC.
Ream made his USMNT debut in 2010 and went on to play at two World Cups. Known for his calm passing and smart positioning, he became a key figure in the squad’s rebuild over the last decade. Coaches praised his leadership in a dressing room full of younger talent.
The defender played club football in England for many years before returning to Major League Soccer. His experience in the Premier League and Championship shaped him into one of America’s most reliable centre-backs of his generation.
