UAE plans another $25 billion investment in India

The UAE plans another $25 billion in investments into India in the near term, as part of a long-term goal of reaching $100 billion in bilateral investment, The Hindu BusinessLine reported.
The two sides have also set a trade target of $200 billion by 2032. OilPrice noted the fresh $25 billion bet includes the energy sector alongside other industries.
The UAE is already one of India’s largest investors, with flows into ports, logistics, renewable energy and startups. A sovereign wealth push into Indian infrastructure has been building for years. India-UAE trade has grown strongly since their comprehensive economic partnership agreement took effect. The Gulf state is now among India’s largest sources of foreign investment.
Officials on both sides say the investment pipeline will support India’s growth and give the Gulf state exposure to one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies.
What happens next: sector-wise allocations for the new $25 billion tranche will show where the money lands first.
