Primerry raises Rs 7.1 crore for kids’ healthcare

Paediatric health-tech startup Primerry has raised 7.1 crore rupees, about 760,000 dollars, in a pre-seed funding round.
The round was announced on September 29. It saw participation from Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi, along with angel investors Mohit Sadaani, Hitesh Dhingra, Ajay Mehra and Samir Palod, plus select family offices.
Primerry was founded by Rushabh Nandu and Dr Nihar Parekh. It makes everyday healthcare products for children aged 2 to 14. The startup says most existing options are legacy formulas not designed for children's needs.
The company will launch eight products priced between 499 and 1,499 rupees. They will sell through its own direct-to-consumer platform, with a quick-commerce rollout planned within a year.
It has also launched PocDoc, a charm-adorned carry case for children to carry their health essentials. Offline, it will sell through pharmacies, paediatric clinics and mom-and-baby stores in large cities.
The funds will go into product research, hiring and wider distribution across India.
