Indian Railways has approved two new MEMU services connecting Meerut City with Khurja and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh, strengthening regional rail connectivity around Meerut.

Train No. 64573/64574 Khurja-Meerut City MEMU will depart Khurja at 1:15 pm and reach Meerut City at 5:20 pm, covering the run in 4 hours 5 minutes; the return service leaves Meerut City at 11:25 am and arrives at 4 pm.

Train No. 64580/64579 Saharanpur-Meerut City MEMU will leave Saharanpur at 5:50 am and reach Meerut City at 8:10 am in 2 hours 20 minutes, with the return leg departing Meerut City at 5:45 pm and arriving at 8:40 pm. Both services will halt at all en route stations.

The Railway Ministry said the additions give commuters more daily travel options on these corridors. The concerned railway zone will separately announce the date of commencement.

Meerut is emerging as a major rail hub for western Uttar Pradesh, with the Delhi-Meerut RRTS also transforming regional commuting. The new MEMU services are aimed at daily passengers, students and small traders who depend on affordable short-distance rail travel across the region.
