England sealed their three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka with a crushing 223-run victory in the decider at The Oval on Sunday. England posted 355 for 7 in their 50 overs before bowling Sri Lanka out for just 132 in 29.1 overs.

Sri Lanka's chase never got going. Kusal Mendis top-scored with 35, but no other batter crossed 20 as England's bowlers ran through the line-up. Liam Dawson led the attack with 3 for 26 from eight overs, while Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker, Joe Root, Jamie Overton and Will Jacks all chipped in with wickets.

The win gave England the ODI series 2-1, after Sri Lanka had briefly levelled it with a 16-run win at Headingley earlier in the week. England had already swept the T20I leg of the tour 3-0.

The result caps a dominant end to the series for England, who earlier posted 265 and bowled Sri Lanka out for 176 at Chester-le-Street. Sri Lanka will take little comfort from a tour in which their batting repeatedly collapsed against England's varied attack.
