Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has vowed the club will fight to the end after being found guilty of 114 of the 115 Premier League financial charges against them. Speaking at a European Club Association meeting in Copenhagen, Soriano said the charges had been in the public domain for eight years and that a resolution was still far off.

He reiterated the position the club set out in its statement of February 2023, insisting City deny any wrongdoing. Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said the club’s position was strong but confidentiality limited what could be said in public.

The charges relate to alleged inflated sponsorship revenues and inaccurate financial information between 2009 and 2018. Sanctions are yet to be decided, and the club is expected to appeal. Soriano acknowledged the verdict had damaged the club’s reputation but insisted the process was far from over and that City would pursue every legal avenue available to clear their name.
