Chiefs beat Dolphins 24-10 as defence dominates in Miami

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins 24-10 on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium, moving to 3-0 while the Dolphins fell to 0-3.
Patrick Mahomes completed 20 of 24 passes for 246 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, going a perfect 14-for-14 on play-action passes. Kenneth Walker III scored twice — a 10-yard touchdown run and a 5-yard touchdown catch — gaining 70 yards on 18 carries.
Travis Kelce’s 11-yard touchdown catch with 2:55 left sealed the win after the Chiefs stopped Miami on fourth down. The Dolphins held the ball for 34:21 but turned it over on downs three times.
Miami lost running back De’Von Achane to a knee injury on the opening drive, with head coach Jeff Hafley saying the prognosis was not optimistic.
The win keeps Kansas City unbeaten and firmly in control in the AFC race. The Chiefs’ defence has quietly become one of the league’s most reliable units, while the Dolphins face mounting pressure with their winless start stretching into the season’s middle weeks.
