Dolphins star De’Von Achane out for season with torn ACL

Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 24-year-old was injured in the first quarter at Hard Rock Stadium and was placed on injured reserve on Monday. Coach Jeff Hafley said his ‘heart breaks’ for the team’s most valuable player of 2025.
Achane posted career highs last season with 1,350 rushing yards and 1,838 yards from scrimmage, making his first Pro Bowl. He had 127 rushing yards in three games this year.
The 0-3 Dolphins also waived defensive lineman Keith Cooper Jr and released Clelin Ferrell and Jordan Miller from the practice squad.
Second-year back Ollie Gordon is expected to lead the ground game. For a winless Miami side, losing its most explosive weapon is a brutal blow.
