Open Source India 2026, the 23rd edition of Asia’s leading open-source conference and expo, will be held on October 7-8 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bengaluru. The theme is “Where Open-source Communities Drive the AI Era.”

Organisers expect more than 6,500 delegates, 85-plus expert speakers and 50-plus technical sessions across six tracks over two days. Tracks cover AI and machine learning, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, software development, databases, open-source hardware, cybersecurity and open-source software initiatives.

The event is organised by the team behind Open Source For You magazine in partnership with India’s open-source community and industry. It has been a cornerstone of India’s open-source ecosystem since 2004. A technology expo will host companies, startups and open-source projects, and the Linux Professional Institute will offer a 20% discount on certification exams at its booth.
