Onya Raises $1.5M for Lab-Grown Diamond Jewellery

Bengaluru-based jewellery brand Onya has raised about $1.5 million, or roughly Rs 12.5 crore, in a pre-Series A round announced on September 24. The round was led entirely by Divisa Family Office, with Zeropearl VC also participating.
Founded in 2024 by Gaurav Choudhary and Himani Yadav, Onya sells IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds set in BIS-hallmarked gold. Its jewellery costs about 20 per cent of what comparable natural-diamond pieces cost, and it offers a lifetime exchange and buyback programme.
The brand now runs eight flagship stores across Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad, and reports monthly recurring revenue of Rs 3.5 crore, up from Rs 2 crore a month when it had four stores at its November 2025 seed round. Total funding so far stands at Rs 18 crore, per StartupFox.
The fresh capital will go toward opening more company-owned and franchise stores, scaling online sales and personalisation, and strengthening product design and manufacturing.
Lab-grown diamonds are moving from niche to mainstream in India, and Onya's quick rise suggests younger buyers are happy to trade the mine for the lab.
