RBI Assistant Mains Result 2026 declared; LPT next for 650 posts
The Reserve Bank of India has declared the RBI Assistant Mains Result 2026 on September 24. Qualified candidates now move to the Language Proficiency Test, which is qualifying in nature.
The cycle has 650 Assistant vacancies for Panel Year 2025. The category split is General 346, EWS 58, OBC 99, SC 110 and ST 37. Mumbai has the most posts at 249, followed by Chennai with 53 and Kanpur and Lucknow with 50 each.
Eligibility was a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent aggregate, relaxed to a pass class for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. The age band was 20 to 28 years as on February 1, 2026. The fee was ₹450, or ₹50 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
Applications were open from February 16 to March 18, 2026, followed by the prelims on April 11 and the mains on June 7. Selection runs through prelims, mains and the language test.
Why it matters: the LPT schedule is not yet announced, so qualifiers should watch RBI’s website for the next step toward these 650 clerical posts.
