India’s medal tally at the Asian Games 2026 stood at 37 — four gold, 16 silver and 17 bronze — as competition entered Day 10 on Monday in Aichi-Nagoya, according to LiveMint and Khelnow. The Games run from Sept 18 to Oct 3.

Day 10 is packed for India. The men’s cricket team, led by Shreyas Iyer, open their campaign in the T20 quarter-final against Afghanistan at 10:00 a.m. IST at Korogi Athletic Park. Later, the defending champion men’s hockey team, captained by Harmanpreet Singh, face Bangladesh in their final Pool A match at 3:30 p.m. IST at Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium, LiveMint and LatestLY reported.

Medal hopes also ride on shooters Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rahi Sarnobat in the women’s 25m pistol, Avinash Sable in the men’s 3000m steeplechase final, and Murali Sreeshankar in the men’s long jump.

Neeraj Chopra is absent from the javelin, with Yash Vir Singh and Rohit Yadav leading India’s challenge. India have already qualified for the hockey semi-finals after a 2-0 win over Japan.

With medals on offer across shooting, athletics and team sports, Day 10 could be one of India’s busiest days of the Games.
