Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday that Russia launched more than 2,200 attack drones, about 1,650 aerial bombs and 38 missiles at Ukraine over the past week. He described the strikes as a sustained aerial assault that continued across several Ukrainian regions.

According to Zelenskyy, overnight attacks killed three people in the Zaporizhzhia region and one man in Kyiv. He said a data centre in Kyiv was struck twice in the morning, injuring three people, including two children, and accused Russia of trying to leave Ukrainians without internet access.

Russia's Defence Ministry said its forces had hit Ukrainian logistics, port and transport infrastructure, communications facilities and vessels used by the armed forces. It also claimed its Northern Group of Forces had taken control of the settlement of Khrypuny in the Kharkiv region.

Zelenskyy urged countries with influence over Moscow to press for peace, naming China, India, Brazil and South Africa. He said Ukraine keeps working with European partners, the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia to strengthen its defences.
