Kartik Aaryan has resumed shooting for Captain India in London after winning the National Award for Best Actor. The crew welcomed him back with a cake-cutting celebration, videos of which were shared by Baweja Studios on social media.

Kartik was honoured at the 72nd National Film Awards for his role in Chandu Champion. The ceremony was held on September 22 in Gujarat. He shared the Best Actor award with Malayalam star Mammootty, and President Droupadi Murmu presented the honours.

In the film, Kartik plays India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. The sports biopic, directed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, marked a major turning point in the actor's career.

Captain India is directed by Shimit Amin, known for Chak De! India. The film is produced by T-Series, Baweja Studios and Dopamine Studios. The London schedule began earlier this month. The crew's post noted the rare feat of having a National Award-winning director and actor on one production.
