Oregon QB Dante Moore Carted Off After Targeting Hit

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore was carted off the field and taken to a hospital after a targeting hit during Saturday’s game against USC.
With about ten minutes left in the second quarter, Moore scrambled for a 10-yard gain and began to slide. USC linebacker Desman Stephens lowered his shoulder and made direct contact with Moore’s helmet. Officials flagged Stephens for targeting and ejected him after review.
Moore stayed on the ground for several minutes. Medical staff fitted him with a neck brace, placed him on a stretcher, and loaded him into an ambulance. The NBC broadcast reported he was moving his arms and legs as he left the field. He was taken to LA General Medical Center for evaluation.
Backup Dylan Raiola entered the game and threw a touchdown pass two plays later. Oregon went on to beat No. 12 USC 41-27.
After the game, Oregon coach Dan Lanning said Moore was moving and would continue to be assessed. USC coach Lincoln Riley said he hoped Moore was okay and wished him a speedy recovery.
