Wisconsin Rallies Past No. 13 Penn State 24-20
Wisconsin scored twice in the final four minutes to beat No. 13 Penn State 24-20 on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
Colton Joseph hit Jacob Harris for a 72-yard touchdown with 1:13 remaining to complete the comeback. Joseph had thrown an 11-yard touchdown pass to Eugene Hilton Jr. with 3:31 left.
The Badgers (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten) trailed 17-7 at halftime after two first-half interceptions by Joseph, including one returned 51 yards for a touchdown by Penn State’s Josiah Zayas.
Penn State (3-1, 0-1) led 20-10 entering the fourth quarter. Quarterback Rocco Becht finished 12 of 29 for 129 yards with an interception, and his final deep pass sailed out of the end zone as time expired.
It was Wisconsin’s first win in State College since 2003 and snapped a six-game losing streak to Penn State. It was also the Nittany Lions’ first loss under coach Matt Campbell.
