Disha Patani on 10 Years in Films: ‘I Want to Take Risks’
Disha Patani has completed ten years in Bollywood. She debuted in 2016 as Priyanka Jha in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
In a new interview, the actor said she does not want to be defined by one role or image. “I don’t want to be defined by one particular kind of role,” she said.
Disha recalled her early days on set. “Everything was new to me. I was learning how a set works and how to face the camera,” she said.
She said her approach was very instinctive at first. Experience has given her more confidence in her choices. But she does not want to stop learning.
Looking ahead, she wants complex roles where the character carries the film. Psychological dramas and character-driven thrillers are on her wish list.
Her 2026 slate includes a cameo in O’ Romeo and a role in Welcome to the Jungle. She hopes to work across languages and genres in the next decade.
