Kangana moves HC against AI-generated obscene content

Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has moved the Delhi High Court seeking protection against obscene and AI-generated content circulated about her online.
Justice Vikas Mahajan issued summons in her suit and notice on her interim injunction plea. The case is titled Kangana Ranaut vs Meta Platforms and others.
Her counsel told the court she was aggrieved by pornographic and obscene content on social media, including AI-generated material.
A fact-check established the offending images were artificially generated, with “no such real photograph” existing, the counsel said.
The court asked Ranaut’s team to name the specific defendants against whom takedown orders are sought. An interim order may follow.
Her lawyers clarified they are not targeting satirical memes or commentary — only obscene content and harmful digital impersonation.
The suit is listed for hearing next in February 2027. The court has granted similar personality-rights protection to stars including Tabu, Allu Arjun and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
