Bhuvneshwar eyes India comeback for NZ tour

Veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar says he still hopes to play for India again and is targeting a comeback ahead of New Zealand’s tour of India.
The swing bowler, who has been out of the national side, has been playing domestic cricket and working on his fitness. He said in an interview that he wants to wear the India jersey again.
Bhuvneshwar was once India’s first-choice new-ball bowler across formats, known for his ability to swing the ball both ways. Injuries and the rise of younger pacers pushed him out of the squad.
Selectors have shown they are willing to recall experienced players in form. A strong domestic season could put Bhuvneshwar back in the frame for the home series.
India’s pace attack is crowded, with Jasprit Bumrah leading a young group. But Bhuvneshwar’s experience in swinging conditions could still be valuable, as selectors have acknowledged in the past.
His fans still chant his name at domestic games.
