Birlasoft on Thursday said it has been named an OpenAI Select Partner within the OpenAI Partner Network. The Pune-based IT services company will build, sell and deliver AI solutions using OpenAI’s models, including GPT-6 Astra. Under the designation, Birlasoft will deploy AI across manufacturing, life sciences, energy, insurance and MedTech. The company claims up to 85% faster query response times in life sciences regulatory workflows and 30-40% lower manual effort in MedTech workflows. CEO and Managing Director Angan Guha said the partnership aims to help enterprises embed AI into real-world workflows and translate AI investments into business outcomes. Birlasoft, part of the CKA Birla Group, employs over 11,000 professionals. The announcement came as Birlasoft shares traded under pressure. The stock fell 2.23% to Rs 271.85 on the NSE on Thursday and is down over 37% this year. The company’s market capitalisation stands at about Rs 7,602 crore. Birlasoft said it plans to expand its OpenAI-related offerings and scale customer deployments in the coming quarters.
