Trump to hold Clarksville, Tennessee rally on October 10

President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Clarksville, Tennessee, on October 10, the Republican National Committee announced. The event is part of his monthlong 17-state tour of mostly red states ahead of the midterm elections. Trump has so far visited Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio, Nebraska and Texas. The RNC said the rally would “supercharge” his base in deep-red Tennessee as voters prepare for the November 3 midterms. Doors open at 11 am at the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, with Trump’s remarks set for 2:30 pm. After the rally, Trump plans to travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the college football game between No. 7 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Two competitive House races are unfolding in Middle Tennessee. Trump endorsed Republican Charlie Hatcher in District 5 against Democrat Chaz Molder, and state Senator Brent Taylor in District 9 against state Representative Justin Pearson. Both Hatcher and Taylor have removed pro-Trump language from their campaign materials as the president’s approval ratings slide.
