Shakti Shalini Eyes March 2027 Release to Avoid King Clash

Aneet Padda’s horror-comedy Shakti Shalini is reportedly moving out of its December 24, 2026 slot to early 2027, stepping away from a box-office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s King.
Reports say March 2027 is being considered, though the makers have made no official announcement. The film was earlier announced for Christmas 2026 when its teaser was unveiled last year.
Shakti Shalini introduces a new character in Maddock’s Horror Comedy Universe and is headlined by Padda, whose Saiyaara made her one of the breakout stars of recent years. Nana Patekar co-stars in a mysterious supernatural role, with Vishal Jethwa and Viineet Kumar Siingh also in the cast.
The shift makes strategic sense. A solo release gives the young-led film maximum visibility instead of competing with one of the year’s biggest star vehicles. King, directed by Siddharth Anand, remains officially dated for December 24, 2026.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film is now expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2027, though fans await official confirmation.
