NTT DATA opens AI Factory in Munich for live AI testing

NTT DATA has opened the NTT DATA AI Factory in Munich, a live environment where clients can test AI applications before large deployments.
Announced on October 7, the facility operates inside NTT Global Data Centers' Munich 2 Data Center. Unlike a traditional demo lab, it lets companies evaluate AI workloads against the infrastructure, security, data and governance demands of real production.
Many AI projects stall between successful pilots and enterprise-scale rollout. The AI Factory aims to bridge that gap by letting clients test what they own and control before investing.
Technology partners include NVIDIA, which provides Blackwell GPUs, Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and AI Enterprise software. Dell Technologies supplies AI-optimised servers and storage through the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA.
The facility brings together NTT DATA's consulting, data, AI, infrastructure, security and managed services teams. Clients can validate performance at scale and check compliance requirements in a production-grade setting.
The opening reflects a wider industry shift from AI experiments to production deployments, as enterprises demand proof that AI systems work reliably before committing budgets.
