eSanjeevani crosses 50 crore teleconsultations, says ministry

India's national telemedicine service eSanjeevani has crossed 50 crore teleconsultations, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced on Tuesday.

The platform reached a cumulative 50,00,92,730 consultations on September 15, 2026. It is the world's largest government-run telemedicine service.

The network spans all 36 states and Union Territories. It operates through over 1.42 lakh Ayushman Arogya Mandir spokes, 19,473 medical hubs and 901 online OPDs, supported by 2,41,923 registered healthcare providers.

The service handles about 2.5 to 3 lakh consultations daily and is available in 15 languages, including English and 14 Indian languages. Its highest single-day use reached 6,30,315 consultations.

Women account for 57.14 per cent of total users. People aged 46 and above make up 40.15 per cent of consultations, including 16.25 per cent by senior citizens above 60.

The platform has been upgraded with an AI-powered clinical decision support system and integrated with the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS)-112. Specialist OPDs from AIIMS campuses are also live on the service.
