Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new slogan for the developed India mission. Speaking on October 7, he urged citizens to adopt the spirit of We Will Do It.

The occasion was the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha. It marked his completion of 25 years as head of government, first in Gujarat and then at the Centre.

Modi listed the goals: a developed India by 2047, a top-three economy, an Atmanirbhar Bharat, a global manufacturing hub, hosting the Olympics and Indian footsteps in space. He noted India now has 140 crore citizens, against under 40 crore a century ago.

He claimed 25 crore people rose out of poverty within a decade. The speech set the tone for the government’s development pitch. Opposition parties have questioned the poverty numbers in the past. The event drew party workers from across the country. Modi has used similar mass slogans to drive campaigns in the past. The 2047 target marks 100 years of India’s independence.
