Bihar BPSC 72nd Prelims Postponed Again

Bihar aspirants face another wait. The 72nd Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination has been postponed again. It was scheduled for October 25, 2026.
This is the second postponement. The exam was originally set for July 25 and 26. The Bihar Public Service Commission has not announced a new date. An official notification is expected soon.
The exam will fill around 1,186 to 1,189 posts across state services. It has three stages: prelims, mains and interview. Lakhs of candidates appear each cycle.
Repeated delays have frustrated aspirants. Many have been preparing for over a year. Coaching centres advise students to keep revising and watch the BPSC website for the fresh schedule. The commission conducts the exam for administrative and police services. Each delay disrupts study plans for lakhs of aspirants. Student groups have demanded a clear calendar to end the uncertainty. The commission is expected to announce revised dates after consulting with the state government on logistics.
