Australia A were 3 for 30 and then 5 for 87. McSweeney found support in Will Sutherland, who smashed 77 off 68 balls.
The pair shared a 141-run sixth-wicket stand. Sutherland hit four sixes in a blazing counter-attack.
Australia A finished on 274 all out. India's chase never got going against the pace attack.
Mahli Beardman took four wickets for the visitors. His spell broke the back of India's batting.
McSweeney missed Australia's Test squad for South Africa. The hundred was a strong reminder of his quality.
The 27-year-old spent the winter with Northamptonshire. He now waits for the next opening in the national side.
