Raina Hails Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s ‘Deserved’ India Return
Suresh Raina has welcomed Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s return to the Indian team, calling the comeback “thoroughly deserved.”
The veteran seamer is back in India’s T20I setup ahead of the series against New Zealand. Reports say it is the first step in a longer plan for the bowler.
Raina led the tributes. “This comeback is thoroughly deserved,” the former India star said, praising Bhuvneshwar’s hard work.
Bhuvneshwar, 36, has been one of India’s finest swing bowlers. Injuries and form kept him out, but strong domestic performances forced the selectors’ hand.
India face New Zealand soon, and the experienced seamer could be key. His return gives the attack a proven new-ball option.
Telangana Today and Dainik Jagran also covered Raina’s praise. Rediff reported fans celebrating Bhuvi’s return ahead of the New Zealand series.
The Times of India first reported Raina’s welcome message. Sportscape Magazine covered the former India star applauding the comeback.
India will hope his experience pays off in the series ahead.
