Ramayana and Godzilla Minus Zero Set for Diwali IMAX Clash

Two of the year’s biggest spectacles are headed for a box-office collision on November 6. Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and Takashi Yamazaki’s Godzilla Minus Zero both release that day, setting up a battle for IMAX screens during the Diwali season.
Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, arrives on Dhanteras and is expected to command premium large-format screens across India. The film is one of the most expensive Indian productions ever mounted.
Godzilla Minus Zero, the sequel to the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One, releases in North America on November 6 and in Japan on November 3. The original was made for about $10 million and grossed over $110 million worldwide, winning the Academy Award for visual effects.
Trade watchers say the clash will test how IMAX screens are divided in India, where Hollywood titles often share premium formats with big domestic releases. With early buzz around both films strong, the November 6 weekend could be one of the biggest of the year.
