Traffic Curbs in Delhi for BJP Event at IGI Stadium Today

Delhi Police imposed traffic restrictions across several key roads in the capital on Wednesday, from 5 am to 1 pm, for a BJP event at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex.
The event marks 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public life. Large gatherings were expected at the venue, and police put diversions in place to manage the flow of vehicles around it.
Commuters were advised to avoid routes such as Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Ring Road during the restricted hours. Police said traffic would be regulated on the stretches leading to the stadium complex.
Officers were deployed at major intersections to guide vehicles and prevent congestion. Public transport users were also advised to plan for possible delays in the morning.
The restrictions were scheduled to be lifted after 1 pm, and normal traffic movement was expected to resume through the afternoon.
Commuters heading to offices and schools in central Delhi were the most affected. Police asked people to use alternative routes and allow extra travel time. The advisory was shared through the traffic police’s official channels and public announcements.
