Capacite Infraprojects has won a Rs 368.98 crore order from Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. The letter of acceptance covers construction of buildings near Thirumangalam Metro station along the viaduct in open land parcels. The scope includes civil work, architectural finishes, plumbing, lifts and associated works. Managing Director Rahul Katyal said the project marks a significant milestone and strengthens the company’s public-sector presence. The order adds to a strong run of wins for the Mumbai-based builder. In August, the company received a Rs 741 crore letter of intent from Mahindra Lifespace Developers. Shares of Capacite Infraprojects rose over 3 percent to Rs 184.60 on the NSE after the announcement. For the June quarter, the company reported standalone revenue of Rs 628.93 crore and net profit of Rs 39.84 crore. The Chennai Metro order deepens its transit-infrastructure portfolio at a time of heavy metro construction across Indian cities. Analysts will track execution timelines and margins on the new contract.
