Karan Johar lines up three big films for 2028 slate
Karan Johar is expanding Dharma Productions’ theatrical slate for 2028. Three big-budget films will go on floors in 2027.
The first is RN Kao. It is an espionage epic on the founder of R&AW. The second is Gadadhari Bheem. It is a modern-day superhero film based on the Mahabharata. The third is Radha Krishna. It is an epic love story of Lord Krishna and Radha.
Trade sources told Bollywood Hungama the three films are fully in production. Abhishek Varman will direct Gadadhari Bheem. The script is locked. The film is moving into casting.
Johar is also working on an untitled mytho-creature film with director Sandeep Modi. Kartik Aaryan will play the lead.
Dharma has set an August 11, 2028 release for the RN Kao film. It is based on Nitin Gokhale’s book Gentleman Spymaster.
Johar also has two films lined up for 2027. They are Lag Jaa Gale and Nagzilla. He is also making Vishkanya with Rajkummar Rao and Pratibha Ranta.
