Sahibzada Farhan Named Pakistan T20I Captain

Pakistan have named Sahibzada Farhan as their T20I captain for the three-match series against Sri Lanka, dropping Salman Ali Agha from the role and the squad.
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the move on Monday. Farhan, 30, takes over after top-scoring at the T20 World Cup earlier this year with 383 runs and leading Pakistan to a silver medal at the Asian Games.
The T20I series will be played at Rawalpindi on October 9, 11 and 13. The 15-member squad includes Fakhar Zaman, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub and Shadab Khan.
Agha stays in the ODI setup, where Shaheen Shah Afridi keeps the captaincy for the tri-series against Sri Lanka and England starting October 18. Former captain Babar Azam returns to the ODI squad.
Pakistan have struggled across formats recently, making this leadership reset a key moment before next year’s World Cup build-up.
The board has also confirmed head coach Mike Hesson will continue, with Shaun Tait returning as bowling coach for the home series.
