Amitabh Bachchan recalled shooting Yash Chopra's Kabhi Kabhie and Deewaar back to back during the birthday-week episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18.

Ayushmann Khurrana, who appeared on the show to promote his film Udta Teer with Sara Ali Khan, paid a musical tribute by singing "Kabhi Kabhie Mere Dil Mein." He also revived his radio-jockey persona to introduce Bachchan in a classic radio format as part of the birthday celebrations.

Bachchan told Ayushmann that Kabhi Kabhie was shot in Kashmir, and that at the same time the team was also shooting another Yash Chopra film, Deewaar. He called it strange that Chopra, known as a romantic filmmaker, shifted to the gritty drama of Deewaar at the same time, calling it a testament to the filmmaker's range.

Kabhi Kabhie, released in 1976, featured Bachchan and Rakhee in a sweeping romance. Udta Teer, in which Ayushmann plays Bilal Ahmed, a Pakistani spy with memory loss, is scheduled to release on October 23.
