Musk Confirms SpaceXAI Will Be Renamed SpaceXSI

Elon Musk has confirmed that SpaceX’s artificial intelligence arm, SpaceXAI, will be renamed SpaceXSI, adopting President Donald Trump’s preferred term “Super Intelligence” in place of AI.
Musk confirmed the change on X on Sunday in reply to a user who suggested the rebranding. “Yes, we will make that change,” he wrote. He separately posted “No more AI,” followed by “SI” and “It’s better,” adding that “SpaceX is a super intelligence company.”
The move follows Trump’s September 29 executive order directing US federal agencies to replace the term “Artificial Intelligence” with “Super Intelligence” in official communications. Musk sat beside Trump as tech executives signed a voluntary White House AI accord that day.
Musk gave no timetable for the change, and the unit’s X account had not been renamed at the time of reporting. If completed, it would be the AI unit’s second rebrand this year, after xAI became SpaceXAI in July.
