Candel to present cancer immunotherapy data at SITC 2026

Candel Therapeutics has said it will present new data from its cancer immunotherapy programmes at the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer’s 41st annual meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, from November 4 to 8. The company will present findings from its aglatimagene besadenovec programme in non-small cell lung cancer. The data covers patients with progressive disease despite treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors. A Stanford researcher will present multi-omics analyses linking immune activation to improved survival in these patients. Candel will also present clinical and mechanistic findings from a phase 1b trial of linoserpaturev in recurrent glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. That presentation will cover combining the therapy with VEGF blockade to overcome immune suppression linked to low oxygen in tumours. Both findings will be shared as poster presentations at the Phoenix Convention Center, the company said in a statement. The lung cancer abstract is numbered 603 and will be presented on November 6, while the glioblastoma abstract is numbered 468 and is set for November 7. Candel is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on multimodal immunotherapies aimed at improving outcomes for cancer patients.
