Imam Siddique calls Salman remark ‘defamatory’

Former Bigg Boss contestant Imam Siddique has objected to Salman Khan’s reference to him on Bigg Boss 20, calling it “extremely defamatory and factually incorrect”. He penned an open letter to the host on social media, IANS reported on October 4.
During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode aired on October 3, Salman mentioned Imam while questioning contestant Qazi Touqeer over his behaviour with Kanika Manna. Salman suggested Imam too had entered the show intending to trouble other contestants.
Imam rejected the claim. “I have never harassed any contestant with the intent to trouble them. My journey in Bigg Boss Season 6 was based on entertainment, tasks and performance. I completed my journey with dignity,” he wrote.
He said being portrayed negatively on national television, without a chance to respond, could harm his reputation and his family’s honour, citing 44 years of professional work. He has asked for a clarification on the show and that his name not be used in such a context again.
