NFL Reviewing After Official Appears to Curse at Cardinals’ McBride

The NFL is investigating a game official appearing to use profanity toward a player during Sunday’s game between the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Giants, which New York won 36-24.
A silent eight-second clip posted on X by NFL Players Association executive director JC Tretter appears to show line judge Jeff Seeman cursing at Cardinals tight end Trey McBride in the fourth quarter. The incident came after officials did not flag Giants cornerback Dru Phillips for hitting McBride before the ball arrived on a third-and-2 pass from Jacoby Brissett.
McBride appealed to Seeman about the no-call, and the official appeared to respond with profanity. McBride shook his head and pointed toward the broadcast camera that had caught the moment. ‘This kind of behavior from an official towards a player is unacceptable,’ Tretter wrote. ‘We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standard.’
The NFL told ESPN it was reviewing the situation, and league spokesman Brian McCarthy told the Associated Press the league was looking into the matter. The NFL Referees Association has not commented.
