Nations League Monday: France Face Belgium, Italy Host Turkiye
Monday’s UEFA Nations League action centres on Group 1. France host Belgium while Italy welcome Turkiye, with both games kicking off in the evening.
France lead Belgium by a single point at the top of the group. A win for the hosts would strengthen their grip on first place. Italy will look to close the gap to second with a home victory over a Turkiye side still searching for their first point.
Sunday’s results set the stage. Defending champions Portugal beat Norway 2-1 to maintain a perfect record in Group A4. They have secured a place in the Nations League quarter-finals.
The Netherlands edged Serbia 2-1 in Amsterdam. Wales lost 0-1 at home to Denmark. The Republic of Ireland drew 1-1 with Israel.
Cyprus host Latvia in another Monday fixture. Tuesday’s programme includes France against Belgium’s return and Italy’s trip to Turkiye later in the window.
The 2026-27 Nations League campaign is gathering pace across Europe. Teams are fighting for quarter-final spots and promotion between the leagues.
