Nvidia revenue soars 106% to $96.2 billion on AI demand

Nvidia posted fiscal second-quarter revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106 percent from a year ago, the company reported.
Data centre sales hit $89 billion, about 93 percent of total revenue, as demand for AI chips stayed red hot. Earnings per share came in at $2.22.
The company guided third-quarter revenue of $108 billion, signalling that the AI boom is still accelerating.
Nvidia’s chips power most of the world’s large AI models, and its results are watched as a barometer of the entire artificial intelligence industry.
Analysts say supply remains the main constraint, with cloud providers ordering chips as fast as Nvidia can make them. The stock has been one of the market’s biggest winners this year.
The company’s market value has multiplied several times since the AI boom began in late 2022. Rivals including AMD and custom-chip makers are racing to catch up, but analysts expect data centre spending to stay strong into next year.
