Foldable race heats up: Pixel on shelves, iPhone Duo lands Oct 23

October is shaping up as a landmark month for foldable phones. Google’s Pixel 11 Pro Fold is already on store shelves, while Apple’s first foldable, the iPhone Duo, reaches buyers on October 23.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is Google’s fourth-generation foldable. It runs on the Tensor G6 chip, carries a 48MP main camera with ultrawide and 5x telephoto lenses, and has an IP68 water-resistance rating. In India it costs Rs 1,86,999; in the US it starts at $1,899.
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999 for 256GB. Pre-orders begin October 16. It has a 5.4-inch outer screen and a 7.6-inch inner OLED display, with Apple Pencil support on both.
Vivo’s X Fold 6 is also expected this month, giving Android buyers a third foldable option. Oppo launches the F35 series in India on October 5 with 8,000mAh batteries, and the Vivo S2 FE follows on October 6 with a 10,000mAh battery.
Buyers who can wait may get the best deals. Older flagships usually see their biggest discounts right when new models land.
