Redmi 17C 5G Launched in India at Rs 20,999
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17C 5G in India, priced at Rs 20,999 for the 4GB+128GB variant and Rs 22,999 for 6GB+128GB. First sale starts October 7 at noon on Amazon India, mi.com and Xiaomi retail stores.
The budget 5G phone packs a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD with 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash protection.
The rear camera is a 50MP unit with an 8MP selfie camera. The phone runs HyperOS 3 on Android 16 with Google Gemini and Circle to Search support.
The price is sharply higher than its predecessor: the Redmi 15C 5G launched in December 2025 at Rs 12,499, making the same tier nearly 68 per cent costlier. Xiaomi positions it as the October season's entry 5G pick with colours Coffee Brew, Purple Dawn and Dark Night.
