CJP Sets October 10 Jantar Mantar Protest Over CEC

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on October 10 if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar does not resign, escalating its campaign against the poll panel chief.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke made the announcement on Friday night after a large demonstration at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. He called the planned event “Jantar Mantar 2.0” and said supporters from across the country would join. “If Gyanesh Kumar doesn’t resign, cockroaches from across India will march to Delhi,” Dipke said in a post on X.
Dipke insisted the protest would be peaceful and follow Mahatma Gandhi’s path of non-violence. He said that if Delhi Police tried to stop protesters, “wherever they stop us will become our Jantar Mantar.”
The CJP alleges that about 13 crore voter names were removed under the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and demands criminal cases, restoration of the rolls and repeal of the 2023 law on Election Commissioner appointments. The Election Commission has rejected these claims, saying the SIR was lawful.
