Young US Stars Rout Mexico 3-0 in Friendly

The United States beat Mexico 3-0 in an international friendly in Glendale, powered by two teenage stars.
Julian Hall opened the scoring in the 28th minute. He pounced on a rebound after Gio Reyna’s shot was saved by the Mexican goalkeeper.
Hall, 18, has now scored in each of his first three appearances for the national team. The New York Red Bulls striker set the tone for a young American side.
Cavan Sullivan doubled the lead in the 63rd minute. The 17-year-old scored his first senior goal for the US with a long-range strike.
Malik Tillman added the third in the 85th minute, finishing low into the corner after finding space in the box.
The US side had impressed in wins over Peru and Chile but raised its level against its biggest rival in a hostile environment.
The result continues a strong international window for the Americans. They face Canada in another friendly on Tuesday, October 6.
Hall returns to club action with the New York Red Bulls on October 10 against San Diego FC.
